About Us

We, at "Supporting the Ones We Love", believe that providing regular visits are key to delivering the best support for your loved ones.

Many elderly people suffer from loneliness, especially when living on their own, and this can lead to mental health issues, including depression. And on top of this families are often stretched at times to look after their elderly relatives as well as they would like. Our service helps tackle this with visits which allow us to provide a break for the family, a listening ear, and additional companionship they can look forward to.

"Sarah provided support for my mum in the final months of her life, and it was something I am so pleased happened. And although my mum was reticent about the visits at first, she quickly came to look forward to them and the care Sarah provided. Sarah's kindness and thoughtfulness had a huge positive impact on us, it was above and beyond what I ever expected, and I will be forever grateful to Sarah for being there."

"Sarah provided a high standard of professional care for my 88 year old mother. Sarah was always punctual and reliable. Sarer Sarah affoded my mother respect and diginity whilst attending to her personal care needs, meals and refreshments. My mother looked forward to her visits and particularly enjoyed the stimulating conversations and activities Sarah involved her in. We always felt very comfortable with and supported by Sarah who offered her advice in my mother's care."

"When Sarah first came to us I had doubts because she looked so young, but at the end of the first visit I realised just how capable she was. Following a stroke my wife Glenda rarely responds or talks but after the first visit there was a smile on Glenda's face when Sarah appeared and before she left she would have some conversation out of Glenda.. Sarah is a lovely caring girl who has a natural attribute toward support work and no client would be dissatisfied."

"I met Sarah through Crossroads, who care for carers. I immediately found her to be friendly and approachable and very easy to talk to. Both my husband and myself were able to chat easily with her and discuss various problems. She was very attentive and showed interest in any concerns we mentioned. She visited on a regular basis and both my husband and I looked forward to her visit from her first visit. I felt I could trust her completely and this has proved to be correct. Sarah encouraged my husband to char and was soon able to get him to recall many holidays and family events. He always looked forward to her visits and was in better spirits afterwards. We were both very sorry when she no longer visited! I would definitely recommend her as a support worker, you won't be disappointed."

"Sarah was extremely helpful with my nan, who for a while now has had issues with her back and leg which means she has had low mobility and as she was living on her own Sarah visited a couple times a week to assist her and to give her some company which my nan loved. Sarah is so patient and understanding with a heart of gold and always went above and beyond. Even sat down and spent the afternoon watching the horse racing :)

Highly recommened if you want someone trustworthy, caring, kind, patient and supportive."

"Sarah is a kind, trustworthy and caring young woman. She was incredible with my mother as her dementia progressed and mum was always brighter when Sarah arrived. She still visits my dad now, as a friend, and that friendship means the world to him."

"Sarah is absolutely fantastic, she is one of the most caring person I have met and has so much patience and understanding. She would visit a couple of days a week we wasn’t able to visit nan. Sarah spent time with her and helped her out when needed and even did something as simple as watching the horses with her. Highly recommended!!"
